Cambridge Tigers FC Annual Tigers Cup 2024 in Collaboration with AlAnsaar
On Sunday, 7th July 2024, the spirit of competition, community, and charity came alive at Bottisham Sports Centre, as Cambridge Tigers FC proudly hosted the Annual Tigers Cup 2024 in collaboration with AlAnsaar.
The tournament featured two exciting age groups — Over 35 Vets and Open Age (16+) — showcasing some fantastic football throughout the day. Players, families, and supporters gathered not just to enjoy the beautiful game, but also to contribute to a greater cause. All proceeds from the tournament went directly towards the Shah Jalal Mosque Expansion Project in Cambridge, supporting the growth of a vital community hub.
A huge congratulations to Spain, winners of the Tigers Cup 24 (Open Age 16+), and to Mohamadan FC, who triumphed in the Tigers Cup 24 (Vets 35+)! Both teams demonstrated outstanding skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
We are deeply grateful to Mina Steakhouse and Iqbro Wholesales & Iqbro Restaurant Supplies for their generous sponsorship of the trophies for this year’s tournament. Their contribution of food, teas, and full donation of proceeds towards the Shah Jalal Mosque project made a profound impact and exemplifies the spirit of giving that underpinned the entire day.
The Annual Tigers Cup 2024 was not only a celebration of football but also a testament to the power of community, collaboration, and compassion. Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, and supported the event — your efforts have helped make a lasting difference.
We look forward to seeing you all again next year for an even bigger and better Tigers Cup!
